International Director

At the National Convention of District 132 North Macedonia, held in Skopje on March 1, 2025, the delegates, upon nomination by Lions Club Skopje MATKA, endorsed Past District Governor Andreja Stojkovski as their candidate for International Director for the term 2026–2028.

Lion Andreja is a founder and active member of Lions Club Skopje MATKA. Throughout his more than 25 years of membership, beginning in November 1999, he has served in various roles, including club president and secretary, always committed to service, leadership, and membership growth. As District Governor in 2012–2013, he focused his mandate on strengthening membership and leadership development while initiating projects with lasting community impact. Notably, he ensured the district’s participation in the piloting of the USAID–LCIF partnership, which provided vital support to children with visual impairments.

His engagement extends to the European and international level. As a faculty member at Lions Institutes and an active supporter of the Lions Academy Europe, he contributes to organizational development and the unification of European structures. In addition, as Membership Specialist for Spain and Portugal and as a member of the Global Action Team for Europe, he works to strengthen membership growth and club vitality. He is equally dedicated to enhancing service, particularly by aligning the Association’s environmental initiatives with global frameworks on climate change.

With his experience, leadership, and global engagement, Lion Andreja embodies the values and vision of the Association, and therefore:

We firmly believe that Lion Andreja Stojkovski is the most suitable candidate to serve our Association as International Director. His rich experience, proven leadership, and unwavering dedication make him exceptionally prepared to contribute to the continued development and global impact of Lions Clubs International.”

Deeply rooted in the spirit of Lionism, for Lion Andreja, the guiding principle remains:
To hold friendship as an end, and not as a means.

This emblem reflects the character and convictions of Lion Andreja. At its center blooms the Allchar Violet (Viola allchariensis), a stenoendemic flower of North Macedonia. Its five petals, in shades of violet and blue, celebrate both the natural beauty of the flower and the diversity of our Lions family. At the core, the golden heart embracing our emblem quietly expresses the simple truth: to lead is to serve, and to serve is to touch hearts.

Strongly rooted in nature, the violet color of the flower symbolizes humility, loyalty to the Association, and care for people — the same care that a parent has for their child. This reflects his deep dedication to youth, the leaders of tomorrow, and the empathy that lies at the heart of both service and leadership.
